Met a friend at the bar and it was lovely! Great atmosphere, delicious handcrafted cocktails, and tasty chips & guac. The bartenders were very busy but still friendly and attentive.
This was a suggested stop! And it deserves this review. The atmosphere is great! And Gina our waitress was attentive and had great suggestions for food and drinks! We started with Guacamole and Jalapeno Locos. The Guac tasted fresh and the Jalapeno App was amazing! Stuffed with delicious cheese and an amazing drizzle. Then we moved to tacos. Oh where to start! We had the Mahi Mahi, the Crispy Fish, Milwalke, beef brisket and the monolos bambam taco. Every single taco was unique and perfectly done! The dessert was worth stuffing your bellies! We had the Churros and Lavender Flan. The churros were so moist and delicious and the flan had just the right hint of lavender! Side note, the bathrooms are spotless and so is the restaurant! I always gear the cleanliness of the bathroom to how clean the kitchen must be. And if that's a fact, it must be amazing!
Here we are 9 months later and the place just keeps getting better. The menu changes a bit each time with dishes being tried and tested. They now have fish tacos, not on the menu yet, that are incredible. Even though I am not a fish fan this one hit every taste bud. And we also had the street corn (fantastic!) and Quesso-Birria which does not disappoint. As always, a great place to stop, relax and have a wonderful meal. We have never had a bad meal, drink or evening here and to have authentic Mexican right in our backyard is a gift. The atmosphere is beautiful and authentic while the food is beyond delicious. We have had the tacos (all the options), shrimp, churros, corn and more, all completely satisfying. And each dish and drink has a unique presentation that is very visually pleasing. At times new drinks are offered and so far none has been a disappointment. We LOVE Contento! It is so nice to have great authentic food right in the Delafield area. Any drive is worth the miles tho so don't think it is not worthwhile. The service is always welcoming too. From a greeting from the owner, Manolo and his wife to the servers and bussers who don't miss a beat, the evening is always just what we like.
Since the step you put inside the place, you can feel a relaxing mexican modern vibe. I love the atmosphere and the wall full of Frida. Natsuki was my server and she was genuinely nice and professional. She gave me some recommendations and omg! I'm picky with Guacamole. It is the best guacamole I have ever had in Wisconsin so far. Perfect on salt and the touch of topped it with pomegranate crushed it!! The tacos were good, and the shrimp and the monolo tacos were out of this world. I'll be back! Congrats to the owner for the amazing job he has made on that place
I visited Contento for the first time a couple of weeks ago and it did not disappoint! Ordering single tacos is a great way to try different flavors. I also tried my friend’s unique bone marrow taco which was so delicious. We had the shrimp and avocado appetizer and some top shelf margaritas. I really cannot wait to come back!

Best tacos in Lake Country! Unique flavors, fresh guac, tasty cocktails, and really cool atmosphere. I took my husband here for the first time a few weeks ago and we sat at the bar. We had an awesome chat about tequilas with the bartender (he was knowledgeable and shared information about tequilas we’d never heard of!). I’ve been talking up this place and the tacos and was excited my husband agreed that they really are the best tacos in our area!
This is my new favorite place for Tacos! The atmosphere was fun, relaxed, and inviting, with thought out design. Monolo visited with customers and said hi to everyone who walked through the door. I’m so excited to go back and venture through the rest of the menu. This is authentic Mexican food with such a fresh taste and prepared with care. There was no rush for us to enjoy our food. The waitress made wonderful recommendations and checked in on us just enough to feel that we weren’t rushed and we could enjoy our meal without too many interruptions! This is truly a boutique experience with the venture to have authentic Mexican food!
